Meet Your Host
Penny warmly welcomes you to Saint Laurent, a place where relaxation meets nature.
Originally from England, Penny, a Chartered Physiotherapist, and her late husband Geoffrey, a Specialist Physician, spent over 35 years working in Africa, where they raised their three children. In Eswatini, they pioneered a healthcare organization that grew to fourteen clinics while also managing a small farm with a mango orchard and cattle.
In 2000, they moved to Great Malvern, UK, before settling at Saint Laurent, where they embraced their love of permaculture, sustainable living, and hospitality. After Geoffrey’s passing in 2023, Penny continues to run the gîtes, ensuring every guest enjoys a warm, welcoming, and peaceful stay.
Penny speaks both English and French, ensuring guests feel comfortable and at home, no matter their language.

A Garden Rooted in Nature
Saint Laurent sits within an enormous, thriving garden, where regenerative gardening techniques are used—meaning no chemicals, just nature working as it should. Every corner is designed to encourage biodiversity, from wildflower meadows to fruit trees, making it a tranquil retreat for both guests and local wildlife.
Music and Concerts at Saint Laurent
Music is a big part of life here. Guests may hear Penny playing the piano, and musicians are always encouraged to play. Over the past eight years, Saint Laurent has hosted professional musicians for concerts, both in the house and in the garden, creating unforgettable musical evenings under the stars.
